TradeGuard was born out of a 30-year family insurance agency. We saw the same problem everywhere — contractors managing compliance with spreadsheets, email chains, and hope. We built something better.
Where We Come From
TradeGuard started with a simple observation: the construction and trades industry runs on trust, but has almost no way to verify it. General contractors hire trade partners based on relationships and reputation, then hope their insurance is current, their licenses are valid, and their paperwork is in order. When something goes wrong — a claim, an audit, a project delay — that trust gets tested fast.
We come from a family commercial insurance agency with over 30 years of experience serving contractors and trades businesses. We spent decades watching the same cycle: a builder hires a trade partner, collects a COI, files it away, and never checks it again. The trade partner cancels coverage. Nobody knows until there's a problem. We built TradeGuard to break that cycle.
Today, TradeGuard handles trade partner management end to end — from pre-qualification and vetting to onboarding, continuous monitoring, and insurance placement — all in a single platform.
