These Terms & Conditions govern your use of and participation in SMS text message communications from TradeGuard ("TradeGuard," "we," "us," or "our"). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree to these Terms.
1. Program description
The TradeGuard SMS program delivers transactional messages to subcontractors and general contractors who use the TradeGuard platform. Messages include, but are not limited to:
- Onboarding invitations from general contractors
- Compliance document requests and expiration reminders
- Background check status updates
- Service agreement notifications and signing reminders
- Account, identity, and authentication notifications (including magic-link sign-in)
- Renewal reminders and follow-up communications
This program is for transactional and account-related communications only. We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.
2. How to opt in
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from TradeGuard by:
- Receiving an onboarding invitation initiated by a general contractor who has added you to the TradeGuard platform, and engaging with that invitation; or
- Providing your mobile phone number directly to TradeGuard through the subcontractor portal and confirming consent to receive SMS messages.
By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or authorized user of the mobile phone number you provide, and that you consent to receive SMS messages from TradeGuard at that number.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity, your compliance status, and the requirements of the general contractor(s) you are associated with on the platform. You may receive multiple messages per week during active onboarding or document collection periods, and occasional messages otherwise.
4. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. TradeGuard does not charge a fee for participating in the SMS program, but your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates will apply to all messages sent and received. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your specific plan.
5. Opt-out instructions
You may opt out of the TradeGuard SMS program at any time.
To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message you receive from TradeGuard. You will receive one final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request, after which no further SMS messages will be sent to your number from this program.
To resume messages after opting out, reply START.

After opting out, TradeGuard may continue to deliver service-critical notifications through other channels (such as email or in-app messages) as required to operate the platform.
6. Supported carriers
The TradeGuard SMS program is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and other participating carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. TradeGuard cannot guarantee the delivery of any individual message and is not responsible for messages that are delayed, undelivered, or misdirected due to carrier issues, device limitations, network conditions, or other factors outside our control.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current mobile phone number information.
- Notify TradeGuard promptly if your mobile phone number changes or is reassigned by contacting support@tradeguardins.com.
- Not use the TradeGuard SMS program for any unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized purpose.
You acknowledge that if you provide a mobile phone number that is later reassigned to another person, that person may receive messages intended for you until you notify us of the change.
8. Privacy
Information collected in connection with the TradeGuard SMS program is handled in accordance with the TradeGuard Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how we share it. Mobile information and consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
9. Changes to these terms
TradeGuard may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via SMS where appropriate. Your continued participation in the SMS program after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
